PROJECT OVERVIEW

I was contracted by the Detroit Justice Center to design their annual 24-page Impact Report, and began the work following a successful initial pitch and presentation of a rough draft. As the lead designer, I managed the full layout and visual direction using Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, with additional photo editing and manipulation in Photoshop.

The project underwent multiple rounds of feedback and refinement, where I collaborated closely with the Communications and Development teams to meet tight deadlines and accommodate quick turnarounds. My design approach was guided by the organization's existing style guide, while incorporating my expertise in typography, color theory, and layout composition to elevate the overall visual narrative.
