This project was completed as part of a Motion Graphics course at Wayne State University. Drawing inspiration from Mitski’s “Heat Lightning”, I explored the interaction between typography, motion design, and sound through the lens of timing, mood, and rhythm.

The color palette was carefully selected to reflect the emotional tone of the music, while select typographic elements were hand-drawn and animated in Procreate, showcasing my skills in illustration and 2D animation. I further developed my proficiency in Adobe After Effects by animating the full sequence and refining the synchronization of type with audio.

This project allowed me to deepen my understanding of kinetic typography, video editing, and the storytelling potential of motion design.
